A person’s caste is decided based on the father’s caste for official certificate purposes.

A Permanent Residential (Domicile) Certificate does not expire, while a Temporary Residential Certificate is valid for one year from its issue date.
An Income Certificate is valid for one year from the date of issuance.
After document verification, the original documents submitted by the applicant are safely returned.
If required, applicants can submit a self-declaration stating that they do not fall under the creamy layer category to obtain a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate.
There is no need to apply for a Non-Creamy Layer certificate repeatedly. For state-level services, a previously issued certificate can be used along with a fresh self-declaration, if applicable.
