Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Primary Level (Class I to V) – Eligibility with Code (February 2026)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) (by whatever name known).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) – Eligibility with Code (February 2026)

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) (by whatever name known).

OR

  • At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-Year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed or B.A / B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed (Special Education).

OR

  • Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in 3-Year Integrated B.Ed–M.Ed Program.

Note:
Any candidate who has qualified a B.Ed program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in CTET. Candidates who are currently pursuing any teacher education course recognized by NCTE or RCI, as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23 August 2010, are also eligible to appear in the exam.

How to Fill Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 Online Form

  • Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CTET February 2026 notification for Paper I (Class I–V) and Paper II (Class VI–VIII). Candidates can apply online from 27 November 2025 to 18 December 2025.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 – Selection Process

CTET selection process conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) mainly consists of the following stage:

1. Written Examination
